Introduction to Burir Hat Jame Masjid Shariatpur

Burir Hat Jame Masjid located in Vedarganj Upazila of Shariatpur district is one of the landmarks of Islamic architecture in Bangladesh. This famous mosque was built about a hundred years ago in Burir Hat Bazar. The historic Burir Hat Mosque occupies a special place among the finest structures in the district.

It is difficult to express in words the beauty of this historic Burir Haat Jame Masjid. It is known that concrete, cement and expensive stones from Calcutta were brought from England for the construction of this elaborate mosque. The present large minaret of Burir Hat Mosque was built in the 80s.
