University Of Chittagong

The University of Chittagong was established in 1966 in Jangal Paschim-Patti Mauza of Fatehpur Union in Hathajari Upazila of Chittagong District , the commercial capital of Bangladesh . Away from the noise and mechanization of the city, the Chittagong University campus surrounded by green hills is like a pilgrimage site of knowledge for students as well as a rich library of biodiversity. The total land area of ​​the largest Chittagong University in Bangladesh is 1754 acres. Currently more than 27839 students are studying in 54 departments under 10 faculties of the university. The number of teachers working in the university is 872.

Chittagong University has suspension bridge, 12 residential halls, vast library of 3.5 lakh books, mosque, cafeteria, gymnasium, medical center, various aesthetic monuments and sculptures including Shaheed Minar, 3 separate museums and hill springs. And there are two shuttle trains for the convenience of university students. About 10,000 students travel for free on the shuttle train every day.

Chittagong University is only 12 kilometers away from Chittagong City Oxygen Junction. Chittagong University can be reached by bus/CNG from Oxygen Junction or any other place in the city. Besides, the shuttle train from Battali railway station to the university comes and goes to the university several times every day.
