Shishu Uddan Joypurhat

A lovely Shishu Udyan ( Shishu Udyan) has been built next to Joypur Resort in Bulu Para, just one kilometer away from Joypurhat city . Located in Jaipurhat district, this children's garden is well-decorated and is enough to mesmerize anyone. Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury (Prince) established this children's park on 60 bigha land in 2005 to provide pure entertainment to people of all ages.

For entertainment, the children's park has a mini zoo, 3D movie, merry-go-round, swings, toy trains, swings, various attraction rides, a swimming pool and a food court. With the aim of human and cultural development of children, traditional scenes of rural Bengal have been given real form through various artificially constructed structures in Shishu Udyan.

The Jaipurhat Children's Park has two large lakes where visitors can take a paddle boat ride. There are also orchards, poets, wildlife and various sculptures that keep the curiosity of children as well as adults. There is a shooting spot in the green children's garden along with picnic facilities.

To visit Shishu Udyan you have to come to Jaipurhat city first. Bus services from Gabtali, Mohakhali, Abdullahpur, Shyamoli and Kalyanpur of Dhaka are operated from Dhaka to Joypurhat by Shah Fateh Ali Paribahan, St. Martin Travels, Shyamoli Paribahan NR, SR Travel and Hanif. AC, non-AC buses fare from Tk 550 to Tk 1400.

Besides, you can go to Joypurhat by Nilsagar Express, Ekta Express, Hrityan Express, Kurigram Express, and Panchagarh Express trains from Dhaka's Kamalapur or Airport Railway Station. In this case, the ticket price per person is Tk 465 for decorative chair, Tk 892 for Snigdha, Tk 1,070 for AC seat and Tk 1599 for AC berth.

You can go to Shishu Udyan by 10 to 15 taka rickshaw or auto rickshaw from Bindu Pachur intersection of Joypurhat city.

For overnight stay there are resort facilities in Shishu Udyan. And near Shishu Udyan there are several residential hotels besides Hotel Sourav International, Hotel Jahan Ara International, Jasim Residential Hotel, Prithibh Hotel, Hotel Baishakhi Residential.

There are various Chinese and Bengali restaurants in Joypurhat. Cafe Orange Chinese Restaurant, Bismillah Hotel and Restaurant, Ruchita Restaurant and Chinese, Meena, Prince Restaurant etc. are notable among them.
