Pratappur Zamindar Bari Feni

Pratappur Zamindar Bari (Pratappur Zamindar Bari) is a historical structure located in Pratappur village of Purvachandrapur union of Daganbhuanya upazila of Feni district. At that time the position of Pratappur zamindars was at the top of all in that region. It is known from various sources that between 1850 and 1860, zamindar Rajkrinch Saha built a magnificent zamindar house on the 800th century land. Zamindar Rajkrinch Saha's five children lived in five two-storied buildings. This zamindar house has a total of 13 fish farming ponds, and 5 ponds have shaanbandhano ghats for the wife of the house. At that time the zamindars of the surrounding area used to stay at the Pratappur zamindar house during their vacations. And the administration of the area was conducted from this house.

Pratappur Zamindar Bari is known by various names like Rajbari, Big Bari etc. in Pratappur village and surrounding areas. Every year in the month of Baisakh, traditional devotees celebrate a three-day festival at this zamindar house. Pratappur High School built by the zamindars is next to the zamindar house.

From Dhaka by train to Chare Feni, come to Mohipal bus stand by easybike, CNG or city bus service from in front of the railway station. And Feni can actually get down directly to Mohipal by bus from Dhaka. From Mohipal bus stand take Noakhali-bound Sugandha King Bus to Sebarhat Bazar for a fare of Tk. 25-30. CNG is available from Sebarhat Bazar under Noakhali district going to Pratappur Bazar. Location of Pratappur Zamindar house next to Pratappur market.
