Panihata and Tarani villages surrounded by rows of hills in Ramchandrakura area, 25 km from Sherpur district town, are well known to tourists as Panihata-Tarani Hill. To the north of the Tarani Hills are the Tura Hills of India covered with a dim cover of clouds. The distant hills of the Tura hills mingled with the realm of clouds creating a mesmerizing atmosphere all around. From the basin of Tura the hilly Bhogai river flows further westward. Under the clear water of this river, the pebbles glistening in the sunlight and the green hills that are hundreds of feet high have created an atmosphere of different beauty around.
Along the Tura river there is also a Christian sub-sanctuary, a small medical centre, a school and a residential hostel for students. Every year, many nature lovers visit this place from far and wide to see the beauty of clouds and mountains besides getting close to nature.
