Pakutia Zamindar Bari

Pakutia Zamindar Bari ( Pakutia Zamindar Bari ) is a traditional building located in Nagorpur Upazila of Tangail District. The three mahals of the zamindar house have their own distinctive and exquisite foliage crafts. Currently BCRG degree college is running in this Zamindar house. Pakutiya Zamindar's house is near Natmandir, Kalimandir and a huge pond.

At the end of the British period, a wealthy man named Ramakrishna Saha Mandal from Calcutta in West Bengal came to Pakutiya and started a zamindari. In 1915, he built three palaces/buildings in a similar design over an area of ​​about 15 acres. At that time this Pakutiya zamindar house was popularly known as Tin Taraf or Tin Mahal.

If you are staying from Dhaka, it is best to take the SB link transport from Gabtali to Pakutia. Cross Saturia and descend to Pakutia Bazar and walk distance from there is Pakutia Zamindar's house. Apart from this, buses from Dhaka's Mohakhali Bus Terminal, Baram, Jhatika, Dhaleswari etc. depart regularly for Tangail. All these buses charge 200 to 250 taka.

If you want to go by train, you can check some trains from Dhaka to North Bengal stop at Tangail railway station. Then you can easily go to Tangail by train. Zamindar Bari can go by CNG from Tangail or local transport to Pakutia via Lauhati via Delduar.

Pakutia Zamindar Bari is at a distance of 15 km straight north through Saturia from Dhaka on Aricha Road via Kalampur stand. Again from Tangail district through Delduar which is located in the south, you can also go to Pakutia Zamindar's house through Lauhati.

Baliati zamindar house and Pakutia zamindar house

Baliati zamindar bari is located in Manikganj district and Pakutia zamindar bari is located in Tangail district but as they are close, one can visit both these places simultaneously in one day. In that case you can go that way depending on what you see first. The SB Link bus leaves from Gabtali in Dhaka and goes to Pakutia via Baliati. You can get down in front of Baliati zamindar house and see it and then you can go to Pakutia zamindar house by CNG or any local transport. CNG will charge Tk 25-30. If you want, you can come to Saturia in advance and visit Baliati Zamindar House.

Tangail's Nagarpur Upazila has several famous Zamindar Bari, which can be visited on the same day. Going by local bus will take more time and then you won't see three places in one day. But if you reserve a private car or micro, you can see three zamindar houses in the same day. In that case, your travel can be easier if you follow the schedule below.

Must start journey from Dhaka by own transport before 7 am. On the way around 8 am, you can have breakfast at the famous Battala of Jahangir Nagar University. After breakfast, Baliati can leave for Zamindar Bari within 8:30 minutes. If everything goes well, Baliati will reach the landlord's house by 10 am. After having lunch at the hotel near Baliati Zamindar Bari, you can travel to Pakutia Zamindar Bari by 12:30 PM. After staying at Pacutia Zamindar Bari for 1 hour, left for Nagarpur Zamindar Bari around 2 pm. From 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, you can start the return journey to Dhaka at 5:30 PM after seeing some of the structures around Nagarpur Zamindar Bari and chatting.
