Introduction to Kyoto City Japan

Located on the island of Hongsu in Japan, Kyoto (Kyoto) was known as the capital city of Japan and the residence of the emperor from 794 to 1868. Nijo Castle

Built in 1603, Nijo Castle was originally the residence of a Japanese military dictator. After his death, his grandson renovated the castle and opened it for tourists. Recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994, this castle is made up of Honmaru, Ninomaru and Bagan. Ninomaru Palace was the military dictator's office and residence. Where different buildings are connected to each other through corridors. Any tourist who wants to go inside to see the interior decoration of the palace has to pay an extra fee. Outside Ninomaru Palace is a garden decorated with ponds, ornate stones and pine trees.
And Honmaru is the second complex with 5 locks, which was destroyed by fire in the 18th century. This palace is opened for tourists on special days. Tourists can enjoy a quiet time in the Honmaru garden while climbing on the stone foundation stone for a beautiful view of the surroundings. And these two palaces are surrounded by green gardens with numerous cherry and palm trees. There is an entry fee of 600 yen per person, plus an additional 400 yen to enter Ninomaru Palace. Kyoto Railway Museum (Railway Museum)

Inaugurated in 2016, the museum is spread over an area of ​​30,000 square meters. It only takes 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station. Built like a railway platform, the museum displays 53 defunct railways, old-time steam locomotives, modern-day electric trains and bullet trains. There are also some special paintings of ancient and modern eras on railways including various railway hinges, uniforms. There are even some exhibitions where tourists can participate in special activities by playing the role of a train conductor or driver. The second floor of the museum houses the restaurant, which overlooks the JR Kyoto Line and Tokaido Shinkansen trains below. Kyoto Imperial Palace (Imperial Palace)

The Kyoto Imperial Palace was the residence of Japan's royal family until 1868. There are several historical buildings here, of which the Cento Palace is particularly notable.

Sento Palace

Kyoto Aquarium

Inaugurated in March 2012, the aquarium is located in Umeji Park. The two-tiered aquarium is divided into nine sections. At Kiato Aquarium you can see giant salamanders, penguins, shells and other rare species of aquatic animals. The ticket price here is 2050 yen per person.

Kyoto Tower

With a height of 131 meters, this tower is the tallest tower in Kyoto. Popular as a modern iconic landmark, this tower offers a 360-degree view of the city of Kyoto from a height of 100 meters. Kyoto National Museum (National Museum)
