Paris is divided into 20 suburbs. And each suburb has its own special character. You can visit the tourist places of different suburbs. You can see a lot if you walk around the whole city of Paris. Not every architecture in Paris escapes the attention of tourists.
Eiffel Tower : The 1,000 feet high Eiffel Tower is one of the most important tourist attractions in the world . Built by Gustave Eiffel, this structure was the main exhibit at the 1889 Paris World Exposition. It was originally built on the occasion of the centenary of the French Revolution to showcase France's artistic prowess to the world. But today, as a symbol of love, the Eiffel Tower has become a major tourist attraction.
Eiffel Tower has different beauty to be admired during the day and night. On one side, you will see a collection of greenery and on the other side, you will see palaces and fountains. A guide can ride the elevator to the first floor of the tower at a height of 57 meters, the second floor at a height of 115 meters and the top floor at a height of 276 meters. From level 2 of the tower, the magnificent view of the city of Paris is to be remembered for a lifetime. 1 hour is allowed to visit the entire tower. The Eiffel Tower is at its most beautiful from a distance when the tower is illuminated for 5 minutes every hour from dusk to 1 am every day. Entry fees to the different locks of the tower range from 4-17 euros depending on age.
Louvre Museum (Louvre Museum) : The world's largest museum is located in the center of Paris. About 30,000 works of world-renowned painters from the 15th to 19th centuries have been exhibited in the 14 km wide gallery. Among them are Mona Lisa, Venus da Milo, Winged Victory, Dying Slave, Lamassus, Victory of Sumtres, Wedding Feast at Cana, Liberty Leading the People. This museum is so big that it takes at least two days to visit the entire museum. But any time of the day is enough to visit some special exhibits of the museum. To one side of the museum is the Jardin Des Tuileries park, built in classic French style. The Louvre Museum is closed every Tuesday. And on Wednesdays and Fridays the museum is open till 9.45 pm. The ticket price here is 15 euros per person. But there is no entry fee here on the first Sunday of every month.
Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris (Cathedral Notredame) : The Gothic style architecture located in the middle of the Île de la Cité is another special attraction for tourists. It took almost 150 years to build the cathedral from 1163 under the leadership of King Louis IV and Bishop Maurice de Sully. Kings of France lived here. Tourists love to see the ornate designs on the exterior of this church, the sculptures and the 21 paintings on the doors of the Gallery of Kings. However, due to a fire in April 2019, the interior of this church was closed for tourists.
Montmartre (Montmartre) : Located in the north of Paris, the white palace of Montmartre hill and the beautiful view of the surrounding area are impressive. Many painters came here and got inspiration. Besides, there will be an opportunity to see various artworks here.
Arch de Triomphe (Arch De Triomphe) : Built in 1806 to commemorate the war victory of Napoleon Benaport, the Arch de Triomphe is one of the famous monuments of Paris. The 164 feet high and 148 feet wide monument bears the names of warriors who fought for the emperor. And under this pylon are the graves of the dead soldiers of the First World War.
Latin Quarter (Latin Quarter) : Located on the left bank of the River Seine, the Latin Quarter always has a lively atmosphere. Known as the Luxembourg Park, this place has a large orchard of apples and orchids, 106 statues and three beautiful fountains. This place is popular with young people at night for several cafes and bars.
Museum d'Orsay : This museum in Paris has the best collection of ancient art and sculptures. It is best to go here early in the day as the crowds of visitors increase as the afternoon wears on.
The Palace of Versailles : This popular castle was built in the 17th century as a symbol of France's military power. The 2,300-room palace houses French art, the queen's private rooms, and many Renaissance artifacts. During summer it is nice to walk around the gardens and musical fountains. Tourists have to spend 20 euros to visit the palace and 27 euros to visit the palace with gardens.
You can also go to Sainte Chapalle (where various musical concerts are organized), Disneyland Paris (a children's favorite Disneyland 32 km from Paris with two theme parks), Avenue Des Champs-Elysees (here there are parks, art museums and numerous luxury shops, hotels, cafes and theaters), Palais Garnier (luxurious opera house hosts various shows including ballet, opera), Catacombs Of Paris (almost 300-year-old cemetery), Center Pompidou, Sacre-Coeur, Place De Vosges, Place De Bastille, Places like Foundation Louis Vuitton, Park De La Villette, Paris Palges, Grand Arche Of La Defense, Palace De La Concorde.
