Kalagachia Eco Tourism Park

Kalagachia Eco Tourism Park (Kalagachia Eco Tourism Park) and Patrol Outpost is a tourist center of natural beauty located in the western part of Sundarbans under the Satkhira range of Khulna . Kalagachia Ecotourism Center has the locality on one side and the Sundarbans on the other, with the Kholpetua River flowing through the middle. One has to go to Kalagachia by crossing the canal on the river path through the forest. Crossing the locality and passing through the western forests of the Sundarbans to Kalagachia, the rows of forests on both sides are mesmerizing.

Many monkeys are seen when the trawlers crowd the ecotourism ghat. There is a bridge made of iron at the entrance to the main part. After crossing this bridge, a rest house and another bridge made of wood are noticed. On both sides of the wooden bridge there are rows of Khalisha, Harkocha and Bine trees. And inside the forest there are groups of monkeys and deer. A bird's eye view of the natural beauty of the Sundarbans can be enjoyed from the five-storied watch tower. Here Banabibi is worshiped in the Shiva temple inside the forest. Many people believe that if you visit the temple and enter the forest, you will be saved from all dangers.

To go to Kalagachia Ecotourism center in Sundarbans, you have to come to Satkhira district first. From Dhaka you can go to Satkhira via Padma Bridge by Sohag, SP Golden Line, Hanif Paribahan bus. The fare will be based on the standard of the bus, non-AC - 650 to 800 taka, AC - 900 to 1300 taka. From Munshiganj or Nildumur Ghat in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira District, you have to go to Kalagachia by trawler. It takes 20-30 minutes to reach Kalagachia by engine driven trawler from Nildumur Khia Ghat. The rent of a trawler for 20-25 people is 800-1200 Tk.
