Halti Bill Natore

Halti Bill under Naldanga police station, 10 km from Natore headquarters, is well known as one of the entertainment centers of the district. Extension of Halti Bill across Piprul, Khajura, Madhnagar and Brahmpur Unions of Natore Sadar Upazila. Being connected to Atrai River, this bill is naturally famous as a breeding ground for various species of delicious fish. Different forms of Halti's bill are seen from season to season. Especially from Baisakh to Kartik months, the area around Beel is submerged in 5 to 8 feet of water. Then the small villages located between the bills look like islands. The nearly 8 km long submersible road connecting Piprul to Khajura through Halti Bill has added to the beauty of the bill.

The beauty of the road from Patul to Khajura on the way to Halti Beel, the rushing water and the boisterous wind refreshes the mind of the visitor. Many in the north therefore termed this bill as a mini beach. Every year during the rainy season, many tourists come here to enjoy boat trips and scenic views.

Natore can be reached by road and rail from Dhaka. Nator can also be reached by taking a direct bus from Kalyanpur or Gabtali, Shyamoli, National and Hanif Paribahan to Natore or Rajshahi. Fares vary from Tk 590 to Tk 1300. Apart from this, Nato can also be reached by Nilsagar Express, Burimari Express, Rangpur Express, Ekta Express, Hrityan Express, Kurigram Express, Lalmani Express, Panchagarh Express trains from Dhaka. Train fare will be 375 to 1288 taka per seat. From Madrasa Road in Natore district town, one can visit Halti Bill which is just 2 km from Naldanga upazila by auto rickshaw, van, motorcycle or CNG.

There are residential hotels like Hotel Millat, Hotel Prince, Hotel Raj, Natore, Hotel Rukhsana etc. in the area adjacent to Madrasa Mor and Railway Station in Natore.

There are restaurants such as One Seven Hotel, Hotel Five Star, Molla Hotel & Cafe, Hot Chili etc. in Banpara of Natore city. Fish and Kachagolla are among the popular dishes of Natore.

Chalanbil Museum, Chalanbil, Rani Bhavani Natore Rajbari and Uttara Ganabhavan are notable places of interest in Natore.
