Tetulia Zila Parishad Dak Bungalow

The historic Tetulia Dak Bungalow is located on the banks of the Mahananda river on the Indian border, 21 km from the Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh district. The dak bungalow was built in the Victorian style by the King of Cooch Behar on an average height of about 15-20 meters above the ground. The magnificent beauty of the Mahananda river from Tentulia Dak Bungalow during the monsoons enthralls the tourists.

Apart from this place, the peak of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world, can be seen during monsoons and winters. A picnic corner has been constructed at Tetulia Dak Bungalow, which is currently under the Zilla Parishad. This Dak Bungalow is hugely popular as a sightseeing spot among the locals.

If you want to go directly from Dhaka to Tentulia, you can go by Hanif bus. AC/Non AC bus fare Rs.1100-1900 per person. Besides, you can go to Tetulia via Panchagarh. You can go to Tetulia Dak Bungalow by getting down at Tetulia Bazar and from there take a local transport.

Nabil Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise, Tanjila Travel, Barkat Travel can go to Panchagarh from Dhaka's Shyamoli, Gabtali Bus Terminal and Mirpur. Non AC bus fare from Dhaka to Panchagarh is Tk 1000-1100 and AC bus fare is Tk 1300-1900.

If you want to go by train, you can come to Panchagarh from Kamalapur in Dhaka by Panchagarh Express, Ekta and Hirtyan Express trains. According to the class, the train ticket fare ranges from Tk 695 to Tk 2398 per person.

Overnight stay at Tetulia Dak Bungalow is possible subject to the permission of the Zilla Parishad. Apart from this, among the residential hotels in Panchagarh city, Hotel Mouchak, Hotel Raj Nagar, Hilton Boarding, Rokkhana Boarding, Hotel Pritam, Hotel HK Palace and Hotel Islam are notable.

Tentulia upazila has hotels with light tea-breakfast and simple Bengali food. However, Panchagarh city has several good hotels like Hotel Karotiya, Hotel Mouchak, Hotel Niribili, Hotel Highway and Hotel Hamza.

Banglabandha Zero Point, Tentulia to Kanchenjunga , Tea Gardens and Rocks Museum are some of the places to visit in Panchagarh district .
