Talukder Bari Bhola

Historical Talukdar Zamindar Bari is located in Sachara Union of Borhanuddin Upazila, 40 km away from Bhola District. The house is popularly known as Deula Jinnatullah Talukder Bari (Talukder Bari) among locals. About 180 years ago, this house was built by Zamindar Borhanuddin who owns 27 mauzas of Bhola.

There are several other smaller houses around this huge Talukdar house surrounded by numerous trees. To the north-east of the talukdar's house is a large pond and a mosque. But the most attractive aspect of this house is the room, located inside the main house. Today the descendants of the zamindar clan live in this talukdar house. However, due to lack of proper maintenance, the beauty of the house has been lost.

Bhola district can be reached by road and sea from Dhaka. But going to Bhola by sea is most convenient. Several launches ply the Dhaka to Bhola route from Dhaka Sadarghat. After reaching Bhola district, take bus or CNG to Borhanuddin upazila and go to Talukdar Zamindar's house by local transport.
