The Jagadish Chandra Bose Memorial Museum complex is arranged around the ancestral homestead of Jagadish Chandra Bose in Srinagar Upazila of Munshiganj District , just 32 km from the capital Dhaka . Spread over 30 acres of land, the house has various animal murals, artificial mountain-waterfalls, manicured ponds, and triangular houses for visitors to rest amidst the shady nature of numerous trees. The Jagadish Chandra Bose Memorial Museum has Jagadish Chandra Bose's portrait, various research papers, handwritten manuscripts, Rabindranath Tagore's Nobel acceptance letters, Rabindranath Tagore's letters and 17 rare photographs on display.
Jagdish Chandra Bose, the first successful Bengali scientist of Bangladesh, was born on 30 November 1858. At one point in his rich academic career, he went to London in 1880 to study medicine. But he returned home in 1884 with a higher degree in Physics, Chemistry and Botany. This great scientist donated all his wealth to public welfare during his lifetime. In 1921, Suruj Bala Saha School was established on his land. Later in 1991, the name of the school was changed to Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Institution (Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Institution) and the college was established. Jagadish Chandra Bose Complex became a reality in 2011 with the initiative of Jagadish Institution. On November 23, 1937, this great hero died in illustrious fashion.
