Arial Bil Munshiganj

Arial Bil is the largest and oldest bil in the central part of the country, full of abundant water during monsoons and vast green fields in winter. Most of this bill, spread over an area of ​​about 136 square kilometers in Dhaka's Doha, Nawabganj and Munshiganj's Srinagar and Sirajdikhan upazilas, belongs to Munshiganj district. It is believed that the origin of the Arial Bill between the Padma and Dhaleswari rivers in Munshiganj district was due to the drying up of the confluence of the Ganga and Brahmaputra rivers in ancient times.

Arial Bill, arranged in the immense beauty of nature, reveals new varieties according to the seasons. During the monsoons, the presence of water lilies, water lilies and various species of birds in the clear water of the bill, surrounded by greenery, adds a unique dimension to the natural beauty. And in winter, various types of winter vegetables are cultivated on the land of Bill. Distance from Dhaka to Arial Bill of Srinagar Upazila under Munshiganj District is about 42 km. From Gulisthan, Abdullahpur or Mirpur in Dhaka, you can take any bus bound for Mawa to reach Srinagar in Munshiganj. Go to Gadighat by rickshaw from Srinagar market. From the ghat, one can go to Arial Bill, which is 15 km from Srinagar, by hand-pulled or engine-driven boats. If you want, a few people can rent a boat between 1000-1500 taka and travel around Arial Bill all day.

Being close to Dhaka, one can leave in the morning and return in the evening. However, if you need to stay overnight, you will find several standard hotels like Hotel Three Star and Hotel Comfort in Munshiganj district headquarters. There are no good places to eat around Arial Bill. So carry dry food and water for your needs. However, there are good quality food hotels and restaurants in Munshiganj. Munshiganj's Chittar Dai, Anandar Sweets, Khuder Bauua (Khuder Khichuri) and Bhagyakul Sweets are popular dishes.

Shyam Siddha Math can be visited on the way to Arial Bill. Also, among other places of interest in Munshiganj are Jagdish Chandra Memorial Museum, Bhagyakul Zamindar Bari and Mawa Ferry Ghat.
