Rijuk Waterfalls Bandarban

Rijuk Waterfall is located on the banks of Sangu River, 66 km from Bandarban district headquarters and 5 km from Ruma Bazar. While going from Ruma Bazar to Thanchi on the river, you can see this ever-young Rijuk Jharna. The name of this spring in Marma language is Ri Svang Svang. The water stream flows from the mountain about 300 feet high throughout the year. And during the monsoons, the flow of the stream increases so much that even a boat with a big engine has to struggle to reach the waterfall. The flowing water stream throughout the year and the beauty of the pristine wild greenery around have given Rijuk Jharna an unearthly serenity of nature.

Not only Rijuk, but also Sangu is not less when it comes to beauty. Other than the rainy season, the water in the Sangu river is low during other times of the year. If you shake cleanly, you can clearly see the kingdom of sand and small pebbles under the water. The crop fields come out through the hills in Sangur. On the opposite side of Rijuk there is a neighborhood of Marmads. The name of this neighborhood is new Rijukpara. Again, Bomad's village on the hill is called Rijukpara. If you have time, you can see Rijuk Jharna and get acquainted with the tribal way of life. Marmara is unmatched in hospitality and sincerity.

If you want to see Rijuk Jharna, you must first come to Bandarban city. You can go to Bandarban from different places of the capital Dhaka by Shyamli, Hanif, Unique, S Alam, Dolphin etc. It takes 8-10 hours to go to Bandarban from Dhaka by bus. After reaching Bandarban city, board a local bus, jeep/chander and go to Ruma Bazar. You can visit Rizuk Jharna by trekking on foot from Ruma Bazar or by renting an engine-powered boat.

Overnight at Hotel Hilton in Ruma Bazar. And in Bandarban city there are residential hotels like Holiday Inn Resort, Hotel Four Star, Hillside Resort, Hotel River View, Hotel Three Star etc.
