Nilachal Bandarban

Nilachal (Nilachal) tourist center is located on the hill in Tiger Para at a height of about 2000 feet above sea level, just 5 km from Bandarban city. The sky, mountains and clouds are beautiful in the blue sky and the natural beauty is incomparable. Nilachal takes its full form both during the play of rafts of clouds in the morning and sunset in the afternoon. The entire Bandarban city can be seen from Nilachal and if the sky is clear, the distant Cox's Bazar sea beach beckons tourists. The winding roads of the hills equally enthrall the tourists. Clouds play close at hand during monsoons, autumns and winters. Different natural beauty can be enjoyed from each place of Nilachal.

There are several rest houses and resorts here for the convenience of visiting tourists to observe the Nilachal form. Tourists can usually stay in Nilachal from sunrise to sunset. Later only those staying overnight at the resort were allowed to stay. If you want to see the clouds, you have to go to Nilachal early in the morning.

Bandarban can be reached by direct bus from Dhaka. From different parts of Dhaka, Shyamli, Saudia, S. Buses of Alam, Unique, St. Martin Paribahan and Hanif etc. leave for Bandarban. The fare of these buses is Tk 800-900 for Non AC and Tk 1200-1800 for AC respectively. If you leave at 9-10 pm, you will reach Bandarban by 7 am. Besides, you can go from Dhaka to Chittagong by train or air and from there you can go to Bandarban.

Two buses named Pubali and Purbani leave for Bandarban from Baddarhat in Chittagong. These two buses cost Tk 220 per person.

CNG, Chand cars and jeeps are available to go to Nilachal from Bandarban city. Depending on the time of stay in Neelachal, auto rickshaw fares from 500 to 1000 taka, jeep 800-1200 taka and moon car rental from 1000 taka to 2000 taka. Whatever transport you go for, bargain a little and get it right.

If you want to stay in Nilachal, you can choose from one of the three cottages of Nilachalscape Resort. Each cottage has two rooms, the rent of each room will be Rs. 3000. If you want to stay in Nilachal, it is better to contact and book in advance. Besides, Nilachal is near Bandarban city so you can stay in hotels and resorts of Bandarban city. Hotel Hill View is next to Bandarban city bus stand. Rent 1200 to 2500 taka. Hotel Hilton Bandarban is near the city bus stand. Rent 1200 to 3000 Tk. 5 minutes walk from Hotel Plaza Bus Stand. Rent 1000 to 3000 Tk. The hotel is located on the banks of Sangu river in River View town. Rent 1000 to 2000 Tk. Tourist motels are located next to mountains and lakes. Located in Meghalaya, 4 km from the city. Rent 1200 to 2500 taka.

* Fares will depend on what time you are going. Season (December-February) and public holidays are more crowded with tourists so fares may be lower. And if you go during the season and holidays, you can book the hotel room in advance to avoid trouble. Apart from this, there are numerous resorts, hotels, motels and rest houses in which you can easily spend the night for 500 to 3 thousand taka.

If you stay overnight at Neelachalscape Resort, the authority will arrange food. There is only one restaurant called Forest Hill, and the food options are not very good. If necessary, you can travel with light food from Bandarban or you can arrange food from Nilachal back to Bandarban city. There are many restaurants to eat in Bandarban city, including Tajing Dong Cafe, Meghdoot Cafe, Food Place Restaurant, Rupsi Bangla Restaurant, Ri Song Song, Kalapata Restaurant etc.
