Napittachora Trail Waterfall

Napittachora Waterfall is a well-known name for adventure-loving tourists . Napittachara Jharna is a Jharna located in Mirsarai of Chittagong district. The trail leading to the waterfall is known as the Napittachara Trail. This trail has several other springs and khums namely Tipra Khum, Kupita Khum, Baghbiani Jharna and Bandarkhum. As it is a relatively easy trail, you can enjoy walking the entire trail in one day if you put in a little effort.

The best time to visit Jharna is monsoon season. Then there is a lot of water in the fountains. However, there is a risk of flash floods during heavy rains. So it is better to be careful when visiting in rainy season. Besides, you can go at any time of the year.

Come from anywhere in the country to go to this trail, first you have to come to Nai Duari Bazar of Mirsrai in Chittagong. 40-50 minutes walk from Nai Duari Bazar to start this trail. It will take 4-5 hours to walk the entire trail, but it depends on how well you are used to walking in hills and valleys. If you want, you can come back just by seeing Napittachara Jharna or Bandarkhum Jharna.

By bus from Dhaka : You can go to Napittachara Jharna by any bus bound for Chittagong from anywhere in Dhaka. Non AC bus fare for S Alam, Shyamli, Saudia, Unique, Hanif, Eagle, Ena etc. is Tk 450-500. Among AC buses Greenline, Saudia, Sohag, TR these buses fare 1000-1200 Tk. Take the bus of your choice and get down at Nayduari Bazar in Mirsrai. Telling the supervisor first will get you down.

By train from Dhaka : Any intercity train from Dhaka to Chittagong should get down at Feni station. The train fare is Tk 265-909 per person depending on the class. From Feni station you have to go to Feni Mohipal bus stand by rickshaw/auto for Tk 20-25. From there you can reach Nayduari Bazaar of Mirsrai by local bus or Laguna.

One can reach Naidowari Bazar of Mirsrai by some local buses from Alankar City Gate of Chittagong city. Rent 80-120 Tk.

If necessary, you can take a local guide to explore the trail from Nayduari Bazar. But if you have a good idea about the trail then you can do trekking on your own. If necessary, ask a local person to show you the way. And if you are totally inexperienced and want to cover the whole trail then it is better to take someone along as a guide.

If you walk a little further from Nayduari Bazar on the east side crossing the road railway line, you will come across Napitta Rhama Para. Jhiri and mountain trail trekking will start from there. After a short distance, the first tip of this trail will be Khum. Basically it is a cascade. Kupikata khum is on tipra khum. This khum is quite deep. On the right side of Kupikata Khum climb the hill and go down to the jhiri and go ahead, another jhiri will fall on the left hand side. If you go along this jhiri for about 30 minutes, you will see Bagh Biyani Jharna at the end of the jhiri. After seeing that waterfall, come back and move forward along the previous waterfall, you will find some beautiful cascades and at the end of the waterfall, you will see Bandar Khum waterfall. This Bandarkhum waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall on this trail. And this fountain is known as Napitta Rhama Jharna. After seeing this fountain, go back along the previous path.

There are no good food hotels in Nayduari Bazar. But there is a small hotel on the way to the trail, if you go there to order what to eat in advance, then they will cook for you, then you can come back and eat. At these local hotels, you can eat at very low prices, but you can check the prices if necessary. Besides, when you come to Sitakunda, you can eat your favorite food at Saudia Restaurant, Apan Restaurant or Al Amin Restaurant.

Since this trail can be completed in a day, there is no need to stay anywhere. But if you want to explore more places and need to stay overnight, then if you want to stay in a better hotel, you have to leave Nayduari Bazar for Sitakunda Bazar. There hotels Saudia and Saimun are fairly good. You have to spend 400 to 1600 rupees to stay here. If you want to stay somewhere better, you have to move to Bhatiari or Chittagong city in Chittagong.
