Meghla Tourism Complex, Bandarban

Meghla Tourism Complex is located in the area adjacent to Parbatya Zilla Parishad along the Bandarban-Keranihat road at the entrance of Bandarban district. The distance from Bandarban city to Meghla is only 4 km. This place is arranged around an artificial lake surrounded by high and low mountains. Dense greenery all around, clear water of the lake and beautiful nature attract tourists to Durnibar. People who are thirsty for diversity therefore come to Meghla again and again to satisfy their spiritual hunger.

There are two charming suspension bridges over Meghalaya Lake. Apart from this, there are safari parks, children's parks, zoos, open-air theatres, tea gardens, cable cars and paddle boats for entertainment. Besides, you can see the eye-catching scenery of Paharikanya Bandarban at the top of the hill.

From Kalabagan, Syedabad, Gabtali and Fakirapool in Dhaka, transport buses like Shyamli, Hanif, Unique, S Alam, Dolphin etc leave for Bandarban every day. You can easily reach Bandarban by taking any bus between 10 pm and 11:30 pm. The fare of these non-AC and AC buses is between Tk 800 to Tk 1800 per person.

Tourist Express, Cox's Bazar Express, Sonar Bangla, Subarna Express, Turna Nishita, Mahanagar Godhuli or Chattla Express train can go to Chittagong first and then directly to Bandarban. Non-AC buses of Pubali and Purbani Paribahan depart for Bandarban every 30 minutes from Baddarhat in Chittagong city. 220 rupees per person for these buses.

Then you can go to Meghla tourist center by moon car or battery operated auto rickshaw from Bandarban city. If you want , you can rent a reserve car of your choice to visit Meghla along with other tourist spots in Bandran like Neelachal, Golden Temple etc. CNG 200-400 taka, Jeep car 400-600 taka will be rented from Bandarban city only to go to Meghla.

District administration rest house is available on rent for night stay at Meghla tourism complex. A total of 4 rooms in Meghla Rest House cost Rs. 2000 each. Apart from this, you can call the hotels of Tourism Corporation for booking: 0361-62741 and 0361-62742.

Apart from this, the rent of single room in four star hotel will be 300 taka, double room 600 taka and AC room 1200 taka. And if you want to stay in a three-star hotel, you will get a non-AC flat for Tk 2,500 and an AC flat for Tk 3,000. Hotel Plaza Bandarban single room rent is 400 taka, double room is 850 taka and AC room is available for 1200 taka. A normal room at Holiday Inn will cost Tk 1000, Non-AC Tk 1300, and AC room Tk 1500. However, the amount of rent mentioned may be less or more due to change of time.

Bandarban town has several mid-range hotels catering to tourists visiting the Meghla tourist complex. From them you can eat three meals at the hotel of your choice.
