Dhaka to Sylhet : Buses to Sylhet depart from Gabtali and Syedabad bus terminals in Dhaka Green Line, Saudia, S Alam, Shyamli and Ena Paribahan AC buses ply from Fakirapool, Syedabad and Mohakhali bus stations, fares usually between Tk 1400 to Tk 1500. Also, non-AC buses of Shyamoli, Hanif, Unique, Ena Paribahan will be available from Dhaka to Sylhet at a fare of Tk 680 to Tk 700 per person.
You can go to Sylhet by Upban, Jayantika, Parabat or Kalni Express train from Dhaka Kamalapur or Airport railway station. Train fare will be 375 to 1288 taka per seat. Besides, you can go to Sylhet by plane from Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport.
Chittagong to Sylhet : From Chittagong you can go to Sylhet by bus, train and air. From Chittagong to Sylhet by train, two trains namely Paharika and Udayan Express ply 6 days a week. Train fare will be 450 to 1541 taka per seat.
Sylhet to Lalakhal : If you want to go from Sylhet to Lalakhal, you can take a Laguna, Microbus or Jaflong bus from the front of Osmani Shishu Udyan or Shishu Park in front of the city's Dhopadidhi to reach Sarighat. Sarighat is situated between Sylhet and Jaflong. You will get CNG powered auto rickshaw from Sarighat to Lalakhal. If you want to go to Lalakhal by river, you will find various engine driven trawlers and boats for rent here. To return to Sylhet from Lalakhal you will get bus and Laguna till 8 pm.
Microbus fare from Sylhet to Lalakhal will cost 2000 to 3000 taka. Going to Sarighat by bus or Laguna will cost 40 to 60 taka. From Sarighat, it will cost 1200 to 1500 taka to go to Lalakhal by engine boat and 1500 to 2000 taka to go by speedboat. If you want to go to Lalakhal at a low cost, cross the Sarighat bridge and a little ahead of the mosque on the right side, you will see a row of autos standing on the road of Lalakhal. These autos running on serial basis cost Tk 15 per person. Get down from the auto and go to Lalakhal Ghat, you can see the unearthly scene of green water.
If you want to go around in a colorful boat with canopy here, you will need 500 to 700 taka and to rent a boat for less money, cross the river and go to the boats without canopies on the other side of the river. Here there are serials of boats, you can rent them for as long as you want for 300 to 400 taka.
