Keshabpur Hanuman Village Jessore

Keshabpur in Jessore is home to about 400 black-faced Hanumans of the vagrant species, and hence the area has come to be known as Keshabpur Hanuman Gram. It is believed that rare species of Hanumans have been roaming in the 10-15 km area of ​​Keshavpur for hundreds of years.

According to anthropologists, the black-faced Hanuman species was born about 40 million years ago, but a small number of Hanumans survive in the world after enduring various setbacks. At present, this species of Hanuman is found only in Keshavpur of Bangladesh and Nadia district of India.

Even 20 to 30 years ago, more than five thousand Hanumans roamed around Keshavpur. But now only four hundred Hanumans are alive. Again, several Hanumans are migrating due to the change in their living environment. Besides, due to lack of trees and environmental reasons, the Hanumans are starting to decline due to lack of food and shelter. If this continuity continues, Hanuman village of Keshavpur will soon become nothing but a name.
