Jogir Bhaban Bogra

Jogir Bhaban (Jogir Bhaban) has been built by organizing several ancient religious structures on an area of ​​about 80 acres in Paikar Union of Kahalu Upazila of Bogra District. Built around 884 AD, the entire area of ​​Yogi Bhavan is walled and divided into two parts by a wall.

Yogi Bhavan has an Ashram, 4 temples, Kanach well, an Idara, Dharmatangi and Agnikund houses in the Yogi Bhavan premises. Among the 4 temples named Sarvamangala, Durga, Kalbhairavi and Gorakhnath, the Sarvamangala temple has a slightly unusual design decorated with brick and terracotta plaques. However, no specific purpose for the construction of this temple is known. It is said that Lakhinder, the deceased husband of Bengal's legendary heroine Behula, regained his life through the water of the Kanach well here.

Bogra can be reached from Dhaka by bus, train and own transport system. From Gabtali, Mohakhali, Shyamoli, Abdullahpur and Kalyanpur in the capital Dhaka, you can go to Bogra by buses of Shyamoli, SR Travels, Hanif Enterprises, Aghumi Express, Manik Express, Nabil Paribahan and Al Hamra Paribahan. The fare will be Tk 550 to Tk 1300 depending on the bus. Besides, if you want to go by train, you can come to Bogra by Burimari, Rangpur and Lalmoni Express trains from Dhaka Kamalapur railway station. The train fare will cost from Tk 475 to Tk 1093 depending on the class. The distance from Bogra to Yogi Bhavan is only 17 km. On reaching Bogra, Yogi Bhawan can be reached by CNG or auto rickshaw through Bogra-Kotlal road.
