Hazachora Waterfalls Rangamati

The waterfall known as Hazachora Waterfalls/Shuknachara Falls is located in Baghaihat area of ​​Sajek Union of Baghaichhari Upazila of Hill Rangamati District. And the local tribals call the fountain as Chit Jurani Thangzhang Fountain (Peace of Mind Fountain). Although the fountain belongs to Rangamati district, it can be easily visited from Khagrachari. On the way from Dighinala upazila of Khagrachari district to Hajachara, the wonderful canvas of nature touches the heart. The flow of the Maini river, the adivasis living on both sides of the road, the fields of jum cultivation and the meandering path surrounded by greenery welcome the adventurers to be overwhelmed by the Hajachhara waterfall.

Most of the tourists visit Hajachara Jharna on their way back from Sajek Valley tour. You can reach the foot of Hajachara Jharna by walking 15 minutes along the path from road number 10 of Baghaichhari upazila. If you are deprived of soaking your body in the water of this wonderful fountain, the purpose of visiting Hajachhara fountain will undoubtedly remain incomplete.

Hajachara Jharna has water more or less throughout the year. Although the flow of water decreases in winter, the fountain regains its full youth in monsoon. So if you visit Hajachara Jharna before winter and at the end of monsoon, you can enjoy the real beauty of the Jharna.

If you want to visit Hajachari fountain from any part of Bangladesh, you have to come to Khagrachari first. There are various direct bus services to Khagrachari from Syedabad, Kamalapur, Kalabagan and Fakirapool in the capital Dhaka. According to your choice and budget you can choose Shanti Paribahan, S Alam, Saudia or Shyamali Paribahan as your travel partner. AC/Non-AC ticket fare per person varies from Tk 750 to Tk 1600. If you want to go on holidays, it is better to book the ticket in advance otherwise it may be a problem to get the ticket later.

4 BRTC AC buses ply from Kadmatoli in Chittagong to Khagrachari every day, the fare is Tk 200. Shanti Paribahan bus (fare 190 taka) runs after 1 hour from Oxygen junction. It will take 4-5 hours to reach Khagrachari by bus from Chittagong.

You have to get down from the bus at Khagrachari and come to Dighinala by riding a motorcycle, bus or Chander's car. Or you can directly come to Dighinala by Shanti Paribahan bus from Dhaka. From Dighinala bus stand, take motorbike or Chand car and get down at number 10 before Baghaihat. From number 10, you can reach Hajachara Jharna by walking for 15 minutes on Jhiri Path.

There are no food and drink facilities around Hajachhra Jharna so it is best to carry dry food and enough water while visiting the Jharna. And there is a traditional system restaurant in Pankhai Para near Khagrachari town. If you want to eat the traditional food of Khagrachari, you have to eat here. You have to stay at Khagrachari if you want to stay overnight to see Hajarchari waterfall. Several residential hotels have been built in Khagrachari considering the convenience of tourists.
