Introduction to Happy Island Rangamati

Happy Island has been built near the heart of Kaptai Hrid, adjacent to Bhedbedi area of ​​Rangamati district , a reservoir of natural beauty . With beautiful green nature and beautiful architecture, this island is basically a water park. This extraordinary water island was inaugurated on April 23, 2018, on a hillock surrounding Kaptai Lake, with the initiative of Bangladesh Army's 305 Infantry Brigade.
Spread over an area of ​​about 45 acres, Happy Island is built in the shape of a giant fish with a variety of entertainment. The park has various attractions including water rides, lake view swimming pool and boat riding. Adorned with rows of flowering trees, Happy Island Park is a place to be enjoyed by people of all ages. It also has picnic facilities, a coffee shop and a mermaid sculpture. Nowadays it has become very popular as one of the places of entertainment for people of all ages including children.

Entrance fee and schedule

Happy Island is managed under Aranyak Holiday Resort under the supervision of Sena Region. As a result, to go to Happy Island, you have to enter Aranyak Resort first. Aranyak Resort entry fee is Tk 50 per person and Happy Island ticket fee is Tk 200 per person including boat rental. The park is open to visitors from 11 am every day except Monday.

how to go

Various buses are available from Dhaka's Fakirapur, Gabtali and Kalabagan to Rangamati. Buses usually depart for Rangamati between 8am-9am and 8.30pm to 11pm. AC/Non-AC bus fare Rs.850-1800 per person. You can get down from Rangamati Cantonment by bus and go to Aranyak Resort's Happy Island by auto or CNG via the main road.

Room rent at Aranyak Resort in Happy Island is Rs 5,000-10,000 per night. Besides, there are several residential hotels like Hotel Prince, Hotel Mountain View, Hotel Moti Mahal, Hotel Zoom Palace and Hotel Green Castle for overnight stay in Rangamati.

where to eat

Happy Island offers fast food. However, if you stay at the resort, the resort authority arranges food. If you want, you can eat at Banrupa Bazar or Bhedbhedi. Besides, the food of Spice Restaurant, Pajan Restaurant, Irish Restaurant and Sabarang Restaurant in Rangamati city is very popular.
