An island of miraculous beauty in Southeast Asia is Vietnam 's Halong Bay (Ha Long Bay). A wonderful union of mountains and sea has happened in this island. Everyone has a special attraction to this island located in Quang Ninh province when visiting Vietnam. Recognized as World Heritage twice in a row for its natural beauty, the island attracts tourists from different countries every year.

Before 2018, Halong City was 160 km away from Hanoi in Vietnam , but after 2018, due to the expressway and Van Don International Airport that were built to connect Halong City and Hanoi, now Halong Bay is only 50 km away from Halong City.

From Hanoi to Ha Long City, you can go by bus or car, train, boat or ship, sea plane or helicopter. To go by bus, Halong City can be reached by a 3 and a half hour bus journey from Hanoi. It takes 15 minutes from Halong City Bus Station to Halong Bay Jetty. The beauty of Halong Bay is worth seeing in seaplane. Although the plane costs more, it takes only 45 minutes.

You can also go directly by car. In that case, Halong Bay should go from Hanoi to Haiphong Province. However, if you go through a tour agency, they will make all the arrangements to get to and from Halong Bay at a low cost.

Halong Bay is surrounded by limestone mountains. Basically it is nice to visit this place on a cruise. There are various sightseeing packages, the price of the package depends on what to see. If you have more time, you can visit different places of Halong Bay for a few days. However, some places are close to each other, so the packages are arranged in such a way that the similar places are excluded and the different style places are rotated. You can also visit several islands. For example-

Three Peach Island (Three Peach Island) : Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water as well as kayaking.

CocCheo Islet : Due to the special shape of this small island, this place is very popular as a shooting spot.

Tung Sau Pearl Farm (Tung Sau Pearl Farm) : You can go here in search of pearls. You can explore the free farming method yourself. Kayaking is also available here.

Finger Island (Finger Island): This island is shaped like a finger rising towards the sky, hence the name. The scenery around the island is very beautiful. This place is very popular with tourists for taking pictures.

Titop Beach (Titop Beach): This crescent island is very popular with tourists.

Ho Ba Ham Islet (Ho Ba Ham Islet): The side view of this island is mind-blowing. There are opportunities for kayaking, snorkeling and swimming.

There are also Cat Ba Island, Kong Skull Island, Dau Be Island, Chong Do Island. Visit these islands if included in the cruise.

You can also visit some villages far from the city to see the form of rural life. For example-

Viet Hai Village (Viet Hai Village): You can come here to avoid the crowd of Halong Bay to stay quiet and find peace. This village is well known for its own traditions.

Cua Van Fishing Floating Village (Cua Van): This village is one of the most beautiful villages in the world. Centuries of local rural culture and atmosphere of rural life can be found here.

Vung Ving Fishing Floating Market (Floating Market): Many people like to visit this limestone island surrounded by green water and buy fish in the floating market. This village is actually famous for fish trade.

You can also cycle almost everywhere in Halong Bay. There are trekking opportunities here. There are several places to go for trekking or hiking near Tuan Chau Island, Fishing Village, Cat Ba Island or Hon Gai town.
