Lake Zurich : This clear lake extends from Bellevue area to Tiefenbrunnen for about 3 km. The lake is an ideal place to relax on a sunny day. Sailing or boat trips are available on the waters of Lake Zurich.
Zurich Altstadt (Zurich Altstadt) : Zurich Altstadt is a pre-20th century historic city area. Popular tourist attractions and architectural monuments here include several landmarks, the Plaza, Linnhof, Frommünster, St. Peter's Church, the New Market and the old medieval Rathaus residence.
Uetliberg : Those who want to enjoy the beauty of the city of Zurich and Lake Zurich from the top of the hill can go to Uetliberg. There is a small hotel called Uto Kulam on the hill and two towers. One of the towers is used for television signals and the other is used for scenic beauty at a nominal fee. There are hiking trails to Utiliberg from Altesgateli, Trimli or Albisrieden, and Utiliberg can be reached by train from Zurich. Utiliberg is an ideal place for camping and hiking.
Fraumunster : Fraumunster is one of the 4 main churches of Zurich. It was built in 853 by German citizen Louis to worship his daughter Hildegard. Currently the church is open for worship and tours. Among the church's highlights are the 30-foot-tall stained glass window by artist Paul Boder and the frescoed clock in the tower.
Swiss National Museum ( Swiss National Museum ) : In this museum, various elements of Swiss culture and philosophy of life are preserved from the Stone Age to the present day. Gustav Gull established this museum in 1898. There is no better place to learn about Switzerland's history and heritage.
Grossmunster (Grossmunster) : This church known as Great Minister was founded by Charlemagne. The twin towers of the church are considered Zurich's most recognizable landmarks. The church was modernized in the 12th century and the bronze sculpture doors of Augusto Giacometti and Otto Munch were installed. Inside the church are sculptures honoring Felix and Regula, the founders of Zurich, and Charlemagne.
Lindenhof : Located on the banks of the river Limmat, the green city of Lindenhof has a long history. Situated on the Lindenhof hill, the city has Roman Castles, Civic Assembly Halls, Old Palaces, Masonic Lodges and Lindenhof Castle. A walking tour of this traditional town will surely soothe your mind.
Rietberg Museum : Built in 1857 for a German industrialist , this neoclassical villa is used as a museum for Baron Eduard von der Heydt. The Rittberg Museum, modeled on the Villa Albani in Rome, is the only World Heritage Museum in Switzerland. Various important historical monuments of Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, African and Pacific regions can be seen here.
Zurich Zoo ( Zurich Zoo ) : One of the best zoos in Europe, there are about 360 different species of animals. Here the wild animals are kept in their natural environment. Notable animals in this zoo include snow leopard, pumpin, flying fox etc. Also here is the Kang Kraken Elephant Park.
Kunsthaus Zurich : Designed by Karl Moser and Robert Karzel, the Kunsthaus Zurich opened in 1910. Several important art collections are housed here by the local art association of Switzerland. Works by world-renowned artists such as Claude Monet, Edvard Minch, Pablo Picasso and the Swiss Alberto Gicomotti can be seen here.
