The most popular city in Europe for tourists  is Paris ,  the capital of France . And the name of the most popular ancient monument of Paris is Eiffel Tower. This tower was built in 1889 for the fair at the Champ de Mars in the Seventh Arrondissement of Paris, the capital of France. According to legend, a total of 2.5 million knots were used to join the 18,038 individual metal sections together in the construction of the tower. And the skillful touch of the 300 workers employed in this work can still be felt.

It took a total of 2 years 2 months 5 days to build the entire Eiffel Tower. The tower has been partially modified several times later. The tower is painted once every 7 years to maintain its original appearance. 60 tonnes of paint is required to paint the entire tower once. The height of the original Eiffel Tower is 300 meters. And the height of the Eiffel Tower with the top antenna is 324 meters or 1063 feet. The towering tower was once considered the tallest structure in the world. In 1930, the Eiffel Tower lost its status as the world's tallest structure after the construction of the Chrysler Building in New York City, USA.

The actual Eiffel Tower weighs 10,100 tons. However, the total weight of the metal structures used to build this structure is 7,300 tons. 336 projectors and 20,000 lamps have been installed in the tower for lighting. Photographing the Eiffel Tower at night is completely illegal under French law. So be careful when visiting there. The tower is divided into three levels and has a total of 1665 steps. There is also an elevator. The view of the city of Paris at a glance from the top of the tower is a feeling to remember for a lifetime. Whenever you think of Paris, the unique moment of Paris will come to mind.

Another name of the Eiffel Tower is Tour Eiffel. To the people of France, this tower is better known as Tour Eiffel. The entire tower cost about 7,800,000 gold francs to build. The Eiffel Tower is named after Gustave Eiffel. Engineer Gustavo Eiffel was the designer of the railway bridge. He built the Eiffel Tower based on his experience and knowledge. At present, apart from France, replicas of Eiffel Tower have been built in different countries of the world. In 1991, the Eiffel Tower received international recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Autumn and spring are the best times to visit the Eiffel Tower. Paris is especially crowded with tourists during Christmas. A trip to Paris then is a bit more convenient than at other times.

Tickets for the Eiffel Tower can be purchased online or directly at the Eiffel Tower site. Ticket prices are determined based on the age of the visitor to the Eiffel Tower. However, entry to the Eiffel Tower is free for children between the ages of zero and four. Some of the fixed fees for entry to the Eiffel Tower are given below:

Age 4-11 = € 3.00 (Euro) Age 12-24 = € 3.50 (Euro) Adult = € 5.00 (Euro) (Note: Stairs are only accessible from the ground floor to the second floor.)

From ground floor to second floor Age 4-11 = € 4.00 (Euro) Age 12-24 = € 7.00 (Euro) Adult = € 8.50 (Euro)

From lowest floor to highest floor Age 4-11 = € 10.00 (Euro) Age 12-24 = € 13.00 (Euro) Adult = € 14.50 (Euro)

There is a chance to visit the Eiffel Tower according to the fixed schedule throughout the year. Open for morning-evening visits from June 15 to August 30. And at other times of the year, the tower can be entered from 10 am to 11 pm. Besides, the visiting hours are extended during the tourist season.

The Eiffel Tower is easily accessible from anywhere in Paris by local transport. Due to traffic jams during the tourist season, visits to the Eiffel Tower may take much longer than scheduled.
