Dhuppani Waterfall

If you go to Orachari in Farua Union of Bilaichhari Upazila of Rangamati District, you will see the beautiful Dhuppani Waterfall . Around 2000, a Buddhist meditation monk started meditating here, later this spring became known to everyone through local people. Tanchangya word Dhuppani jharna means white water fountain. The height of Dhuppani Jharna from the ground is about 150 meters. The fountain is surrounded by several wild animals including deer, wild boars, wild cats and bears. From a distance of about 2 kilometers, the sound of splashing water of Dhuppani Jharna can be heard.

There are many bus services from Dhaka to Kaptai in Rangamati district. It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Bilaichari by trawler from Launchghat by preferred bus at Kaptai at convenient time. 1000 to 1500 rupees will be required if trawler reserve is taken. And if you want to go by local trawler, you can go from Kaptaighat at 8:30 am, 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm on the trawler for 55 taka per person. If you want, you can have food in the Bilaichari market. Now you have to go to Uluchhari, a distance of 2 hours from Bilaichari. Mandatory take a guide from Uluchhari, guide fee may be 500 taka negotiable.

You have to trek for about 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Dhuppani Para by foot from Uluchhari by Kosha boat crossing the water of Pahari Dhal. Go trekking barefoot or take good quality trekking shoes. It takes about 30 minutes to reach Dhuppani Jharna from Dhuppani Para. Dhuppani Jharna is located about 200 meters below the hill slope from Dhuppani Para.

Overnight stay is available at Bilaichari. Once the trawler is reserved, you can get off the trawler at the Hospital Ghat and board quietly. And if you don't want to stay, then you must leave for Bilaichari from Kaptai by 6 am.

There are several food hotels in Bilaichari Bazar. However, two food hotels, Bakul Shop and Bhat Ghar, offer fairly good food at low prices.
