Chingri Jhorna Bandarban

Paharikanya Bandarban is located 92 km south east from Chittagong. Paharikanya Bandarban with an area of ​​4479 square kilometers has numerous small and big springs in addition to the hills. Chingri Jhorna is a very beautiful fountain . The spring is so named because there was once a lot of prawns in this spring. On the way from Bagalek to Keokradong, walk for 30-40 minutes and you will see shrimp fountain.

The full form of any fountain is found in or around the rainy season. Then the fountains are full of water. But you can visit this fountain anytime you want. Many times during heavy rains, the mountain collapses, so it is better to inquire about it if you go during the rainy season. In addition, since the shrimp fountain is in Bagalek and is on the way to Keokradong, if you go on Bagalek tour, you can visit the shrimp fountain with a little effort. Or visit this enchanting wild spring on your way to Keokradong.

Whichever part of the country you live in, you must first come to Bandarban to go to Bagalek. S. from different parts of Dhaka. Alam, Saudia, St Martin Transport, Unique, Hanif, Shyamli, Dolphin etc. buses leave for Bandarban. The fare of these buses is Tk 800-900 for Non AC and Tk 1200-1800 for AC respectively. It takes 8-10 hours to go to Bandarban from Dhaka by bus.

Bagalek from Bandarban to reach Ruma Bazar by Chander car or jeep from Bandarban. Take the guide and enter the name at the army camp and come to Bagalek by reserve jeep/chander car or local chander car.

If you have time after entering the name at Bagalek army camp, you can leave for Shrimp Jharna. Or you can rest that day and leave the next morning to visit the shrimp fountain. It will take 30 to 45 hours to walk from Bagalek to Chingri Jharna. This short trek will give you a sense of adventure as well as a walk on the mountain path. It would be foolish not to come to Bagalek and stay a night. If you come to visit Shrimp Falls, make sure to plan for a night stay at Bagale. Usually tourists come to Bagaleke or Keokradong. In that case the sighting of the shrimp fountain is a bonus.

There are several beautiful tribal cottages to stay in Bagale. It will cost you 100-250 taka to stay in these cottages in a beautiful environment near the lake. Even though there are not many extraordinary facilities, the night stay in these cottages arranged by the lake in the mountainous environment will surely be memorable for you. One room cottage can accommodate 5-6 people. Besides, separate cottages can be arranged for couples or women. If you have any preference in advance, tell the guide at the time of going and the cottage will fix it. Or you can go and fix it.

You will find quite a few hotels for food in Ruma Bazar. The arrangements for feeding the cattle should be made in the tribal house. Food packages are usually available for Rs 100-200. Meals are prepared with rice, eggs, potatoes, mountain chicken. For this, you have to tell in advance what to eat and how many people will eat. If you want to eat on arrival, you can ask the guide when you go. The cottages have barbecue facilities, you can buy mountain chickens and sit by the lake and enjoy this arrangement of a different environment.
