Introduction to Birshreshtha Mostafa Kamal Memorial Museum Bhola

Mohammad Mostafa Kamal is a brave warrior who sacrificed his life for the freedom of Bangladesh in 1971. He was born on 16 December 1947 in West Hajipur village of Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola. Adventurer Mustafa Kamal spent most of his childhood in the cantonment due to his father's job. At the age of 20, Mustafa Kamal, who grew up dreaming of becoming an army man, joined Pakistan's 4th East-Bengal Regiment. In 1971, he participated in the battle for the East-Bengal Regiment in Brahmanbaria. During the war he was verbally given the duty of Lance Naik. During the war of liberation, this brave son was martyred at the hands of the Pakistani army.
Birshreshtha Mostafa Kamal Memorial Museum and Library (Birshreshtha Mostafa Kamal Memorial Museum and Library) was established in 2008 at Mostafa Nagar in Alinagar Union, about 7 km from Bhola district town , to honor the sacrifice of this brave freedom fighter . And the name of Moutupir village has been changed to Kamal Nagar Various memorabilia of Bir Shrestha Mustafa Kamal, materials used by Bir Shrestha, photographs and various books containing the history of the Liberation War have been placed in the museum. Besides, the library also has a rich collection of various books including biographies of famous people, novels, religious books, science works, general knowledge, children's literature, poems.
Timings: Bir Shrestha Mustafa Kamal Memorial Museum is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm except public holidays.

how to go

Being an island district, there is no direct bus or train from Dhaka to Bhola. In this case, the only way is to launch. Various launches depart from Dhaka Sadarghat launch terminal for Bhola at different times. These include Doyle, MV Crystal, Srinagar 7 MV Ghazi Salahuddin etc. They leave Dhaka at 3 pm and reach Bhola Elisha Ghat between 7.30 pm and 8 pm. It leaves Elisha Ghat at 8 am and reaches Dhaka between 1-2 pm. You can take a bus from Dhaka to Barisal or Laxmipur and go to Bhola by sea-truck. It takes 6 to 7 hours to go to Bhola via Barisal or Laxmipur by road.
Bir Shresh Mustafa Kamal Memorial Museum can be reached by bus, CNG and auto rickshaw from Bhola district town.
