History of Nomenclature Altadighi

Thousands of years ago King Batu ruled this area. One day the queen requested the king to dig a lake. Then the king said, you start walking, until your feet burst and bleed. And where you stop will be the boundary of the lake. Rani starts walking but her walk never ends. The king was worried and at last the queen's leg was broken and blood came out by tricking the queen with a soldier. Dighi is dug till then.
