Three Dome Mosque

Tin Gombuj Masjid, one of the oldest structures of the Mughal period, is located in Firozpur of Shahbazpur Union of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj District. Bengal Sultan Shah Shuja built this mosque for Shah Syed Neematullah, a famous medieval preacher of Islam. This historical archaeological structure listed by the Directorate of Archeology of Bangladesh is also known as Shah Niamat Ullah Mosque.

The rectangular three-domed mosque has a huge mosque house, 3 mihrabs and 3 front entrances. The door between the 3 entrances is relatively large. Near the mosque is the tomb of Shah Niamat Ullah and a two-storied Mughal-era building built by Sultan Shah Shuja. The building of Sultan Shah Suja is known as Tahakhana with a length of 116 feet and a width of 38 feet. The three-domed mosque, palace and tomb of Shah Niamat Ullah are part of the Takhana complex. Sultan Shah Shuja built this building to facilitate the winter residence of his Morshed Hazrat Shah Niamat Ullah.

Chapainawabganj can be reached from Dhaka by road and rail. Good quality buses like Mordan, Hanif or Shyamli ply from various places of the capital to Chapainawabganj. AC/Non AC bus fare is Tk 830-1500 depending on the standard. Chapainawabganj district can be reached by Banlata Express train from Kamalapur railway station. The fare will be 515 to 1173 taka per seat. After passing Chota Sona Mosque which is about 28 km from Chapainawabganj district city by CNG or auto rickshaw, you will see the three dome mosque located in Tahakhana complex.

Chapainawabganj has several residential hotels like Hotel Raj, Hotel Al Nahid, Hotel Sapnapuri, Hotel Rangdhanu, Hotel Najma and Hotel Sky View. Besides, you can stay overnight in Dak Bungalow and Circuit House of Zilla Parishad with permission.

Chapainawabganj city has several food restaurants like Saruar Hotel, Bhai Bhai Hotel, Sharifa Hotel. And if you have a chance, you can taste Shibganj's original delicacies.

Among the other places of interest in Chapainawabganj are Khaniyadighi Mosque, Alpana Village Tikiil, Darasbari Mosque and Chhota Sona Mosque.
