Sonaimuri Binodon Park Narsingdi

Sonaimuri Tek, a town of Lalmati, is located in Kunderpara of Bagagh Union of Shibpur Upazila of Narsingdi District. Full of red clay hillocks, flat land homesteads, chirping of birds and immense beauty, Sonaimuri amusement park is crowded during the holidays.

On the way from Narsingdi to Shivpur, one will notice numerous red clay hills surrounded by trees. The mesmerizing view of the hills and plains from the top of the hill captivates everyone. The Dhaka-Sylhet highway passes through these red clay hills. Popular as a shooting spot, various dramas and movies are often shot in this place. Besides, there are several entertainment facilities in Sonaimuri for children.

The entrance fee to Sonaimuri Tech Park, which is open seven days a week, is Tk 20.

Distance from Dhaka to Narsingdi is about 49 km. Narsingdi can be reached by train or bus from Dhaka. From Mohakhali, Gulisthan, Syedabad and Abdullahpur of Dhaka, buses plying on Dhaka-Sylhet road can reach Narsingdi by crossing Kanchpur Bridge. Bus fare will be 100 to 200 taka. By rail, you can go to Narsingdi by trains like Mahanagar Express, Kishoreganj Express and Egarosindur Godhuli from Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station. Distance from Narsingdi to Sonaimuri Tech Amusement Park is only 14 km. From Narsingdi you can reach Kunderpara in Shivpur and ride a rickshaw to Sonaimuri Tech Amusement Park.

Several bungalows and hotels have been built on the hills of Sonaimuri Tech Amusement Park. If you want to stay overnight in these hotels and bungalows, you have to book in advance. Besides, there are various public and private rest houses and residential hotels in Narsingdi city.

Several restaurants like Sabuj Bangla Hotel, Hotel Bushra, Grameen Hotel and Al Amin Hotel will be noticed on the way from Narsingdi to Sonaimuri.

Next to Sonaimuri Tech is one of the archeological sites “Kumartech”. Pottery dating back to 3000 BC has been found here. You can also see the red mud houses and archeological monuments of Srishti Garh, Itakhola, Jayanagar, Marajal. Other places to visit in Narsingdi include Anand Park, Girish Chandra Sen's House, Laxman Sahar Zamindar House, Balapur Zamindar House, Birshrestha Matiur Rahman Library and Memorial Museum and Dream Holiday Park etc.
