Novo Theatre Dhaka

The fascination with the unknown is one of man's eternal interests. And if it is through entertainment, then there is no question! Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theater has been constructed at Tejgaon Bijay Sarani intersection in the capital Dhaka to make people scientifically minded along with the opportunity to inform the unknown . Earlier this Novotheater was known as Bhashani Novotheater.

Though theater is associated with the name, Bangladesh's only Novotheater is by no means like any other ordinary movie theater. Opened to the public on 25 September 2004, the Novotheater has a 5D movie theater, simulator rides, 5D interactive edutainment simulators, digital and scientific exhibits galleries, portraits of world-renowned scientists and replicas of planets and solar systems. Besides, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novotheater has a modern 150-seat auditorium, 50-seat conference room, ramp, hydraulic lift and underground car parking facility.

The 5D theater's 120-degree large screen projects colorful light, astrovision images and skycan videos through high-powered projectors, giving visitors an immersive experience. The Novotheatre has a 30-seater ride simulator, racing car, acrobatic airplane, monorail, space craft, ancient pyramid coaster and aircraft fiber ride.

Exhibition starts every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM. And every Friday the exhibition starts at 10 AM, 11 AM 30 PM, 2 PM 30 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM 30 PM. Novotheater is closed every Wednesday. The evening show is performed only during summer i.e. from March to October.

Ticket price for Panetarium exhibition is 100 Tk. Children under 2 need no ticket. 5D movie theater ticket price is Tk 50, 5D interactive education simulator ticket price is Tk 50 per person, digital and scientific exhibits gallery ticket price is Tk 100 and ride simulator ticket price is Tk 20 per person. You can come to Vijay Swarani's Novotheater from any part of the capital Dhaka by CNG, taxi or bus. Or if you can come near Farmgate or Zia Udyan in your preferred arrangement, you will reach the Novotheater within a five minute walk.
