Nayabad Mosque Dinajpur

Nayabad Mosque (Nayabad Mosque) has been constructed on 1.15 bigha land in Nayabad village of Kaharol upazila, 20 km away from Dinajpur district city. According to the plaque found on the wall of Nayabad Mosque, this mosque was built in 1793 during the reign of Emperor Shah Alam II. At that time King Baidyanath was the last descendant of the Dinajpur royal family. According to locals, the Nayabad mosque was built by Muslim architects and laborers who came to build the Kantnagar temple in the mid-18th century.

The Nayabad mosque has 3 domes on the roof and 4 octagonal minarets at the four corners. The thickness of the walls of the mosque is 1.10 meters. On the west side opposite to the 3 minbars 3 doors are placed to enter the mosque. Although numerous terracottas were used in the design of the Nayabad mosque, only hundreds of terracottas remain today. And a grave can be seen next to the mosque, but no information has been found about whose grave it is.
