Introduction to Manali India

Manali is a beautiful hill town located in the valley of river Beas in Kullu district of northern Himachal Pradesh, India. Manali is named after the mythological god Manu. Located at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level, the road to and from Manali is recognized as the highest motorway in the world.
High mountains, rivers and unique nature have given Manali the fame of 'Heaven on Earth' or 'Dharti Ka Swarg', famous for honeymoon and shooting spots. And because of this fame, Manali on the banks of the Beas river has a huge influx of tourists throughout the year.

Places to visit in Manali

Many films of Bollywood, Kolkata and India have been shot in Manali. Manali, a land of heavenly natural beauty, has numerous places to fascinate tourists.
Rothang Pass (Rohtang Pass) : Located at an altitude of 3,978 meters above sea level, Rothang Pass is located 51 km from Manali city. From Manali, you can go here to see the scenic views along the beautiful hilly roads. Here you can enjoy skating and tobogganing among the huge mountains covered with white snow. However, from December to mid-June, traffic is closed due to heavy snowfall.
Solang Valley: Solang Valley is 14 km away from Manali. It can be reached by the road to Rothang Pass. For adventure lovers, there are various entertainment activities like parachuting, paragliding, skating, zorbing, bunjee and jeep line. 400 rupees per person for each ride.
Manikaran (Msnikaran): Manikaran is located 44 km from Kullu. Basically Manikaran is a place of pilgrimage for all people irrespective of caste and religion. Apart from Gurudwaras and Mahadev temples, a hot spring, there are numerous temples here.
Hidimba Devi Temple: This temple was built in 1553 dedicated to Hidimba, the wife of Bhima, the mythological character of Mahabharata. The temple is surrounded by forests.
Bon Bihar: Bon Bihar is a beautiful place to spend some quiet time. Here, the speakers always play beautiful songs with low melodies.
Rehala Falls: On the way back from Rothang Pass, you will come across a beautiful waterfall. The water of Rehala Jharna flows into the river Beas.
Gulaba: Gulaba is a little far from Rehala Jharna. It is one of the most popular places to play amidst the beautiful scenery and snow. Skiing is available here.
Beas River (Beas River): Beas River flows near the city of Manali. For the adventure lovers, this river has all the rafting arrangements in the freezing cold water.
Kullu: Kullu is a hill state in Manali with places like Mahadev Temple, Vaishnava Devi Temple, Nagar Castle, Hanging Bridge and Sams Lake.
Mandi: Mandi has Pandoh Dam which dams the river to generate electricity.
Roerik Art Gallery: The once residence of the famous Russian painter Lykola Roerik has now been converted into the Roerik Art Gallery.

Many travel to Manali via Shimla by Calcutta mail train. But in this case, the road to Manali via Delhi is very popular. And it is better to go to Manali at a distance of 255 km via Shimla if you combine Shimla with Manil tour. In this case, you can go to Manali by bus or by hiring a car from Shimla. On the way to Manali, Kullu, Mandi, Sams Lake, Rafting Point, Pandoh Dam, Sundar Nagar, Hanuman Temple etc. places will also be seen. Buses to various states of Delhi are available from Delhi's Kashmiri Gate Bus Terminal. Buses to Manali run from 2.30 pm to 9 pm. Among the public transport Himachal Express Highway and Private Himachal AC Volvo these two buses go to Manali. Besides, you can go to Manali by renting a private car.
Route plan 2 : You can come to Shimla from Calcutta by mail train. If you want, you can visit different places of Shimla one day and go to Manali by bus the next day. Various buses and private cars are available from Shimla to Manali.
And if you want to go by Biman, Spice Jet and Biman Bangladesh have direct flights to Delhi from Dhaka. After reaching Delhi, the internal route of India should arrive at Bhuntar Airport. Another name of this airport is Kullu-Manali Airport, which is 50 km from Manali. It takes about an hour to reach Manali from Bhunta airport.

For overnight stay Manali has several residential hotels near Mall Road, Old Manali, New Manali and Hidimba Temple. Day 2: Take a taxi to Fairley Place to collect tickets to Kalkar Shimla. Get tickets to Shimla in foreign quota here. And also you can visit some places of Kolkata city. A toy train journey will add a different dimension to Shimla via Kalka. You have to take the train to Kalka from Howrah station in Kolkata.
Day 3: Kolkata to Kalka is about 33 hours journey. So the whole day will be spent on the train. But this trip will also be one to remember for a lifetime.
Day 4: Arrive at Kalka in the morning. Shimla is located 90 km from Kalka. You have to go to Shimla by toy train from Kalka through hilly winding roads. If you reach Shimla by noon, you can explore places like The Ridge, Mall Road. Book tickets from Shimla to Manali now.
Day 5: On this day you can explore Kufri and Phagu Valley. And left by night bus from Shimla to Manali. And if you take a car then you can go the next morning and visit the roadside tourist spots.
Day 6: Reach Manali Check-in at Hotel Explore the places near Ban Vihar, Club House, Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monastery etc. From Manali at night, arrange to go to Rothang Pass the next day.
Day 7: Early morning hire a car and proceed to Rothang Pass via Solang Valley. From here it will be evening to return to Manali so you have to leave Manali at night.
Day 8: Early in the morning board a bus from the bus stand near Mall Road in Manali and leave for Delhi.
Day 9: Before reaching Delhi, book the ticket from New Delhi to Agra-Kolkata. Then spend the whole day around Delhi at your own convenience.
Day 10: Depart Delhi for Agra and visit the Taj Mahal and other attractions. Then leave for Kolkata by night train from Agra.
Day 11: The whole day will be spent on the journey. So reach Dum Dum in Kolkata and stay at any hotel in Kolkata.
12th Day: In the morning from Dumdum in Kolkata to Sealdah to Banggaon and cross the border you can return to Bangladesh in the night or the next morning.
