Lebur Chor Lebur Bon Patuakhali

One of the tourist attractions of Patuakhali district, Lebur Char is located 5 km east of Kuakata beach. Lemon Char is also known as Nembu Char to the locals. The 1000 acre lemon pasture has various species of trees including Keora, Gewa, Goran, Kadai, Golpata. Although it was part of the Sundarbans in the past, this char is now separated from the Sundarbans.

If you stand at the end of the lemon pasture, you can see the rows of green trees of the Sundarbans. The golden glow of the sun hitting the vast pastures at sunset casts a mesmerizing unearthly scene around. Surrounded by natural beauty, Lemur Char is known as an attractive place for tourists.

Kuakata can be reached from Dhaka by river and road  . With the opening of Padma Bridge, the road from Dhaka to Kuakata can be reached in much less time and easily. Distance from Dhaka to Kuakata is about 294 km. It will take about 6-7 hours to go by bus. From Dhaka's Syedabad, Abdullahpur, Arambagh or Gabtali bus stand, buses from Sakura Paribahan, Shyamoli, Greenline, Euro Coach, Hanif, TR Travels and many others directly go to Kuakata via Padma Bridge. Non-AC bus fare from Dhaka to Kuakata is Tk 750-900 and AC bus fare is Tk 1100-1600. Besides, the launches of various companies from Dhaka's Sadarghat Naval Terminal go to Kuakata via Patuakhali or Barisal. Usually between 6 pm and 7 pm these launches leave for Kuakata. From Kuakata there is a facility to go to Lemun Char by bicycle and van. And in the case of going to Lebur pasture, if you leave Kuakata early in the morning, you can return to Kuakata in the afternoon.

Government accommodation for accommodation in Kuakata includes LGED and Road and Bypass Rest House, Rakhine Culture Academy Rest House. Apart from private accommodation, Sagar Kanya Tourism Holiday Homes, Youth Inn Hotel, Hotel Graver Inn, Sea View Hotel, Sikdar Resort, Kuakata Grand Hotel, Mangrove Hotel, Tourism Motel, Hotel Beach Haven and Seagirl etc. are residential hotels.

Various types of fresh sea fish and fried crabs are available in the small food shops that have sprung up next to the Lemun Char. Kuakata has several restaurants including Zero Point Joy, Hotel Sunrise, Burma Hotel, Ramzan Restaurant, Guest and Baisakhi.

Kuakata Beach , Water Museum, Sonarchar and Fatra Char are notable among the other places of interest in Patuakhali .
