Jharjhari Waterfall

For the adventure loving travelers, the Sitakunda region has amazing neat waterfall trails. After walking along this trail for about an hour, the first waterfall that comes into sight is called Jhorjhori Waterfall . If you go further up on the left side, you will see some beautiful khums and cascades. It is quite difficult and difficult to get to the top of the neat spring so it is best to go towards the end of the monsoon season.

From Dhaka by bus, cross Mirsrai and get off at the market called Ponthichila . From the market, walk east towards the railway line. If you go along the railway line to the left for about 4-5 minutes, you will find a dirt road on the right. If you continue along it, you will reach Kani Jhiri in no time. After walking for about 30 minutes, you will see another narrow trail on the left hand side. After walking for 5-7 minutes on this road, cross a hill and proceed to the right, you will see the Chandranath temple above. If you walk for another 20 minutes on this jhiri path, you will see a neat jhiri. If you go forward for 20 minutes with a neat stream, you will get a neat stream. And it takes about 1 hour to walk from Pantichila to Jharjhari trail.

Sitakunda has several hotels for dining. Among them, the food at Al Amin Hotel is of fairly good quality. And if you go to Chittagong, you will find all kinds of restaurants here.

As it is a trekking trail, you will have to walk on high and low hills and rocky ridges, so be sure to take some essentials with you.
