Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science Technology University

Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University is the first science and technology university established in Rangpur division for the purpose of human resource development and global acceptance. The university was named after the farmer leader Haji Mohammad Danesh, the father of the Tevaga movement. In 1976, the University started its journey as Agricultural Extension Training Institute and then offered Diploma Degree in Agriculture. Then in 1988 under Bangladesh Agricultural University it was upgraded to Graduate Agricultural College. On September 11, 1999, it was announced that this agricultural college would be upgraded to a university. As a result of this, Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology was established on April 8, 2002 through the issuance of a notification by His Excellency the President. In this university covering an area of ​​130 acres, certificates are currently awarded in 22 subjects under 8 faculties.
