Introduction to Golokdham Temple Panchagarh

Golokdham Temple is a beautiful 18th century monument located in Shaldanga Union of Debiganj Upazila of Panchagarh District. Built in 1846 to commemorate Golakrishna Goswami, the architecture of this ancient temple is worth noting. Surrounded by trees and greenery, the hexagonal dome temple built in the Greek style is placed on a slightly elevated platform.

There is a room inside the temple known as a pilgrimage site for orthodox devotees. Every day many Sanatan religious people come to the temple to perform puja. Currently under the Bangladesh Directorate of Archeology, the infrastructure of these archaeological monuments is on the verge of destruction.

Nabil Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise, Tanjila Travel, Barkat Travel can go to Panchagarh from Dhaka's Shyamoli, Gabtali Bus Terminal and Mirpur. Non AC bus fare from Dhaka to Panchagarh is Tk 1000-1100 and AC bus fare is Tk 1300-1900.

If you want to go by train, you can come to Panchagarh from Kamalapur in Dhaka by Panchagarh Express, Ekta and Hirtyan Express trains. According to the class, the train ticket fare ranges from Tk 695 to Tk 2398 per person.

From Panchagarh by local bus via Debiganj you can visit Golakdham temple located 12 km north-west by rickshaw/easy bike.
