Dc Park Pirojpur

DC Park located in Pirojpur district headquarters is a traditional place of Pirojpur. One can enjoy the unique natural scenery from the watch tower of this park built on the bank of river Baleshwar in Namazpur village. D. C. The park is also known as Pirojpur River View Echo Park to local people . Former Deputy Commissioner of Pirojpur district Mr. Md. Manchur Raja Chowdhury took the initiative of setting up a park in 2007 for the entertainment of local people. Since then, the designated area for the park has become known as DC Park.

One of the attractions of DC Park or Pirojpur River View Eco Park is the road built along the river and the five-storey high watch tower. From this watch tower one can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the surroundings. DC Park also has coffee houses, fountains, beautiful lakes and two wooden bridges. And there is a system of pedal boats floating in the water of the lake. Flower gardens, swings, sitting benches and round umbrellas have been created in DC Park to attract visitors and beautify the park. Besides, there are two cottages in the park. Each of these cottages has 2 bedrooms, 1 drawing room and 1 kitchen.

DC Park entry ticket price is 20 rupees. which may change from time to time.

Pirojpur can easily be reached by road and sea from Dhaka. From Gabtali and Syedabad bus terminals in Dhaka, buses of various transport ply regularly morning and night to Pirojpur. Sakura Paribahan and Eagle Paribahan buses leave for Pirojpur every morning and night from Gabtali. And several buses including Dola Paribahan, Hamim Paribahan and Banful Paribahan ply from Dhaka to Pirojpur from Sayedabad bus stand.

There is also an opportunity to go to Pirojpur by river route. Launch Rajdoot/Parabat departs from Sadarghat river port in the capital Dhaka at 7 pm daily and steamer Ostrich at 9 pm from Sadar Ghat to Pirojpur.
