Introduction to Bangladesh Air Force Museum

The first Bangladesh Air Force Museum was established in 2014 in Agargaon, the capital of Dhaka . This museum was built with the aim of presenting the history and achievements of the glorious heritage of Bangladesh Air Force to the new generation. As soon as you enter the museum, you will see a huge square. And various fighter planes, helicopters and radars are kept in this area. Bangladesh Air Force Museum has 21 aircraft and 3 radars. Out of which 3 aircraft were used by the Indian Air Force in the Great War of Independence in 1971 and later gifted to Bangladesh.
The Air Force Museum has a food court, souvenir shop 'Niladri', various animal portraits, theme park and aesthetic fountains for the visitors.

Notable Collections of Bangladesh Air Force Museum:

Balaka: Balaka is the first passenger plane of Bangladesh made in Russia. Balaka aircraft was brought to Bangladesh in 1958. PT-6: This aircraft made by China came to Bangladesh in 1985. Air Tourer: The Air Tourer aircraft was used for training in the Bangladesh Air Force. The New Zealand-made aircraft was brought to Bangladesh in 1997. Gliders: Gliders were added to the Bangladesh Air Force in 1982 from Germany. Fugazi M-170: This vehicle of Bangladesh Air Force was made by France in 1960 and it was placed in Bangladesh Air Force in 1997. Hunter Aircraft: In 1971, India used this aircraft to keep the land of Bangladesh free from enemies. Airtech Canadian DH 3/1000: The Canadian made Airtech Canadian DH 3/1000 bomber successfully participated in operations in the Chittagong Seaport area during the Liberation War in 1971.
Also housed in the air museum are the FT-5, MiG-21, G Nat, F6 and A5-111.

During the visit to Bangladesh Air Force Museum

The Air Force Museum is open every other 6 days except Sunday. The museum is open from 2pm to 8pm, Monday to Thursday. And visitors can enter the museum from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Ticket price

The ticket price for entry to the museum is 50 rupees for general visitors and 25 rupees for military personnel. Also, there is an opportunity to get on the plane or helicopter of the museum by buying a ticket for 30 rupees.

how to go

Come to Agargaon from anywhere in Dhaka. You can go to Agargaon by Bihang, Himachal, Swadhin, Haji Transport, ETC Transport and many more buses from Gulisthan in the capital. The Air Force Museum will take it down. Besides, you can also go to Himachal, Alif Paribahan from Rampura. Or you can easily go from anywhere in Dhaka with your own transport or CNG.
