Introduction to Bangkok Thailand

The capital of Thailand is Bangkok (Bangkok). Built on the banks of the Phraya River, Bangkok is a vibrant city located very close to the Gulf of Thailand . Bangkok is also known as the colorful city. And so travelers always top Bangkok on their wish list to enliven themselves in this colorful city.

Sightseeing in Bangkok

There are many things to see within the city of Bangkok. For example-
Grand Palace: This palace is one of the most popular places in Thailand. Since 1782, this palace has been the official building of the King and Royal Court of Thailand. You have to go here by boat. The beauty of the Grand Palace can be seen in a strange way while going by boat.
Wat Arun: This Buddhist temple in Bangkok is also known as “The Temple of Dawn”. The temple spans the entire Chao Phraya River beyond the Grand Palace. The early morning light reflecting on this strangely beautiful setting creates a mesmerizing atmosphere.
Wat Phra Kaew: This Buddhist temple is known as the holiest temple to the people of Bangkok, Thailand. Located inside the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew is a unique dark green Buddhist temple that is the main attraction for all tourists.
Floating Market: One of the main attractions of Bangkok is the floating market. It is hard to find a person in Bangkok who has not been to the floating market. Various types of products are arranged on wooden boats and trading is going on here.
Wat Pho : This is another interesting Buddhist temple. This temple is considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage in Bangkok.
Lumphini Park : Lumphini Park is a place for quiet nature lovers to enjoy a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city. Tourists will like the beautiful environment of the artificial lake apart from exploring here.
China Town or Yowarat Road: Everyone will have heard about this China Town in Bangkok. Another city within the city is China Town. There are various entertainment facilities for enjoyment and fun.
Bangkok National Museum: Thailand's largest museum in Southeast Asia. The collection of this museum is so huge that one can spend half a day in the museum without even noticing when the time has passed.
Chatuchak Weekly Market: There are about 15,000 shops in this market. And here you will find a lot of things to buy, starting from various art works.
Bangkok Safari World: This safari park is a sanctuary for wild animals in the wild. But you must take time, only then you can see the whole safari world well. Also, if you have time, you can visit places like Bangkok Dream World, Ocean World, Madame Tussauds Museum.

How to get to Bangkok

There are several airlines that fly from Dhaka to Bangkok. You can choose any one of your choice from Air Asia, Lion Thai Air, Nok Air.
In case of traveling by air, Thai Airways from Dhaka will alight at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Also from Chittagong Airport you can go to Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. In that case, you have to reach Shah Amanat Airport from Chittagong. From there you have to get off at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. After completing the immigration here, you can take a taxi to explore the city of Bangkok. However, Don Mueang Airport has more flights within Bangkok, so Suvarnabhumi Airport is where most people travel to Bangkok.

Bangkok travel expenses

Metro rail, sky train, boat and motorcycle services are good for getting from one place to another within the city. Air travel to and from Bangkok costs around Tk 11000-15000 per person. And if you book the plane ticket in advance and stay in the hotel at a low cost, it will cost about 35000-37000 Tk per person to go to Bangkok alone. But here too, if the group shares the cost of accommodation, travel and food, the total cost will be slightly less. In that case, if 6/7 people match, it will be between 27000-30000 rupees. But everyone's personal expenses and shopping expenses are different.

Where to stay in Bangkok?

There are many types of hotels to stay in Bangkok. However, the price may be higher depending on the location. There are several hotels along the Chao Phraya River such as Oriental Hotel (this hotel is one of the famous hotels in Bangkok), Shangri La Hotel, Peninsula Hotel, Lebua State Tower, Novo City Hotel. The cost of staying here is a little high, but many people prefer to stay in these hotels for the beauty of the surroundings and the additional facilities of the hotel. The rent of a room for two people will be 12000-18000 taka. Also outside the commercial buildings of Bangkok there are several hotels where you can stay. Such as City Lodge Bangkok, Somerset Park, Suanplu, Emerend Hotel etc. Here the cost for a double room will be 4500-6000 taka. You will also find several good hotels in locations like Pat Pong, Sokumbit, Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. For example - Grand President, Ambassador Hotel Bangkok. If you splurge a little on the hotels here, you can stay between 1500-2500 taka.

Where to eat in Bangkok?

Bangkok city has world famous “McDonald” and “KFC”. And in these chain foodshops many favorite foods including chicken fries, burgers are available. A combination of original Chinese and Thai food is more common in Bangkok. Various types of street food are available along the road. Although the names of the dishes are a little strange, you can try the dishes to get a taste of different types of food. For example, Tom Yang Kung (basically a soup made with coconut milk, green chillies, lemon grass, mushrooms and prawns), Steam Rice with Greenhole Peppercorn (basically white rice with raw papaya, mango, lemon juice and chillies). Salad type but must be eaten with green or red chicken curry), pla pao (fish barbecue), khao moon gai (steamed chicken with white rice). You can also eat mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream. There are also various known and unknown results. Eg- Rose apple, Mangosteen. Halal food can be found at Mejban Bangkok, Soi 11, Sikumbit, Arab and Turkish food in Soi 3, 4, 5 and MBK (MBK) Food Court. And if you want to eat Bengali food, take the Sky train from Siam Paragon and you will find several Bengali restaurants at various stations.

Bangkok Indra Market (much like New Market in Dhaka), MBK Market (prices are a bit higher here), Chatuchak Bangkok Market, Platunum (you can shop here cheaply), Big C, China Town, you can go around and buy various things in Bangkok, especially Bags, sandals and various types of jewelry for girls. There are several shops opposite Siam Center. “Robinson” is good for buying boys stuff.

Special attractions of Bangkok

There are special spas for tourists in Bangkok. If you want to enjoy the beauty of Bangkok at night, you can go to China Town, Bangla Road and Khao San Road. And for adults, Bangkok has a wide variety of entertainment options.
