Naldanga Rajbari Resort Jhenaidah

Naldanga Rajbari Resort is located in Naldanga village of Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district. Naldanga village was well known as the capital of Mohammad Shahi Pargana during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar. The name of the last king of Naldanga Rajbari was Pramath Bhushan Roy Bahadur. Although there is no functional royal palace today, 7 temples of Naldanga Rajbari survive as a witness of the times.

To commemorate Naldanga Rajbari and the memory of the king, a favorite of the king named Pata Mia of Tailkup village built a resort, ancient architecture research center and an amusement park in his house on 20 acres of land. The resort built by Pata Mia came to be known as Naldanga Rajbari Resort and Picnic Spot.

Naldanga Rajbari Resort is surrounded by a large area and variety of fruit and flower trees and has children park, wonder wheel, super chair, cable train, haunted house, love corner, mermaid, haas boat, paddle boat, playground, artificial fountain and hill, coffee. House and stage for organizing cultural events. Apart from this, any kind of social events including picnics, educational tours, parties can be organized here. It is better known as NRB Resort to local people.

The entrance ticket to Naldanga Rajbari Resort is Tk 50 per person, but there are discounts on the occasion of various festivals. If you want to have a picnic of 50 people here, you have to spend 3000 rupees for entry, spot rent and car parking.

Jhenaidah can be reached by AC/Non-AC buses of Royal, JR, Sonar Tari, Chuadanga Deluxe and SB Paribahan from Gabtali in capital Dhaka. AC/Non-AC bus ticket price is Tk 650 to Tk 1300 per person.

Naldanga Rajbari Resort and Picnic Spot is only 4 km from Kaliganj bus stand, which is about 18 km from Jhenaidah district town. If you proceed along the left side road from Kaliganj bus stand, you can reach Naldanga Rajbari Resort located on the south side of Naldanga Bazar.

You can stay overnight at Naldanga Rajbari Resort cottage if necessary. Besides, there are various quality residential hotels to stay in Jhenaidah. Among them, one has to spend 700 to 1500 taka per night in AC/Non-AC room of Hotel Dream International. And to stay in Hotel Kutum you have to pay 500 to 800 taka.

In Jhenaidah city, you can try food, food safari, sweet, homely etc. in restaurants, besides the necessary food, you can try Ghosh's sweets, chicks from pigeon chatter and chicken jilapi.
