AC buses run by Green Line, Saudia, S Alam, Shamli and Ena Paribahan, fares usually between Tk 1400 to Tk 1500. Also, non-AC buses of Shyamoli, Hanif, Unique, Ena Paribahan will be available from Dhaka to Sylhet at a fare of Tk 680 to Tk 700 per person. Buses always leave in the morning, afternoon or night. The distance from Dhaka to Sylhet is 240 kilometers, it usually takes about 6 hours to reach Sylhet.
From Dhaka to Sylhet by train you can choose Upaban, Jayantika, Parabat or Kalni Express trains from Kamalapur or Biman Bandar railway station as your travel companion. The train fare is 375 to 1288 taka per person depending on the class. It takes 7-8 hours to go to Sylhet by train.

From Sylhet to Jainta Hill Resort
Jaflong can go to Jainta Hill Resort by hiring an autorickshaw or CNG from anywhere in Sylhet. Jainta Hill Resort can be reached by local bus from Shivganj at a fare of 80 taka per person. CNG or auto rickshaw fare is Tk 1,200 to Tk 2,000. 3,000 to 5,000 rupees will be required if you reserve for the whole day including microbus travel. If you go in a group, it is better to reserve a microbus, then you can get down and explore other places around. Bargain well with the driver while fixing the car and let him know what you want to see.
