Guliakhali Sea Beach

Guliakhali Sea Beach is located in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong District. This beach is also popularly known as 'Muradpur Beach' to the local people. The distance from Sitakunda Bazaar to Gulyakhali Sea Beach is only 5 km. Nature has spared no effort in beautifying the endlessly beautiful Gulyakhali Sea Beach. Digantjora sea water on one side and Keora forest on the other side make this sea beach unique. The root of the Keora tree can be seen around the canal that runs through the Keora forest, this forest goes far into the sea. Environments like swamp forest and mangrove forest can be found here. Gulyakhali beach is differentiated by the green carpet of broad grass. The open wilderness of green grass next to the sea is sure to catch your eye. In this field of green grass next to the beach, the painted curved canal has arisen naturally. These canals are filled with water during the tide. Surrounded by green grass and small streams filled with water, this scene will fascinate anyone. This little-known beach is less crowded, so you will find a quiet environment. Even if the sea does not have so many waves or roar, the empty beach of this quiet environment will catch you in a different way. If you want, you can visit the sea in a fisherman's boat. In this case, you have to bargain to fix the boat.

Being so close to Sitakunda, Guliyakhali beach will have plenty of time to spare after visiting and sightseeing. During this time you can explore many other places of interest around Sitakunda. Tourist places around Guliyakhali include, Banshbaria Beach , Sitakunda Eco Park , Chandranath Temple and Hill, Jharjhari Jharna, Kamaldah Jharna, Kumira Sandwip Ghat , Mahamaya Lake, Khayachara Jharna, Napittachara Jharna, Sahasradhara Jharna etc. You can arrange your travel plan according to your time and what you want to see.

Since this beach is in Sitakunda, from any part of the country you have to come to Sitakunda first. You can come to Sitakunda from Dhaka or Chittagong in different ways.

Dhaka to Sitakunda Sitakunda can be reached by any bus from Dhaka to Chittagong. AC and non AC bus fares are Tk 420-1200. If necessary, tell the bus supervisor in advance to drop Sitakunda. You can come to Sitakund from Dhaka by mail train at a fare of Tk 120 per person. You can go to Feni by intercity train from Dhaka, the fare is Tk 250-1035 depending on the class. You can go to Sitakunda by local bus from Feni. A local bus fare from Feni to Sitakunda will cost 80 to 100 taka.

From Chittagong to Sitakunda Chittagong Alankar Mor, Enke Khan Mor, Kadmatoli to Sitakunda buses and mexis are available. You can come to Sitakunda Bazar from any place you like.

Sitakund to Gulyakhali From under Sitakund bus stand bridge you can go directly to Gulyakhali beach embankment by CNG/Auto. Up to Gulyakhali Beach Dam, auto hire will be Tk 30 per person, and if you want to take auto reserve, the rent will be Tk 150-200. Negotiate the rent amount. You can keep the CNG driver's number in advance to return to Sitakunda. Or you can make a reservation with the return. Many times CNG/Auto is not available while returning after evening.

There is no accommodation and food provision at Gulyakhali Sea Beach. Only Sea Beach has a small shop so take food from Sitakunda Bazaar if necessary. If you want to stay, you can stay at Saimun and Saudia hotels in Sitakunda Bazar. You can get a room in Saimun for 300 to 600 taka and to get a room in Saudia you have to pay 600 to 1600 taka. Take the help of tourist police if needed to make the trip safe. Do not litter the travel area. Be aware of cleanliness yourself and try to make others aware. Know the time of low tide. It is best not to be near the beach during high tide. When the tide rises, come off the beach. And during the tide, the water rises and the drains are filled. Then there may be a problem to cross. And since it is not a tourist-friendly beach, be careful when going into the sea. Never go far if you don't know how to swim.
