The house of Zamindar Lakshmi Narayan Vaishnav, located in Dalal Bazar Union of Laxmipur district headquarters, is well known as Dalal Bazar Zamindar Bari. Zamindar Lakshmi Narayan Vaishnava's later successors acquired the commercial agency and zamindari of the East India Company. Being the commercial agents of the East India Company, the successors of Lakshmi Narayan Vaishnav came to be known as 'Dalal' by the local people. In the communal riots of 1946, the zamindars left the country and moved to other places, leaving the zamindar house abandoned.
